Weddings

I photograph wedding ceremonies and receptions the documentary way — no staged shots, no direction from behind the camera. What I'm after is what's actually happening: the vows, the first dance, the laughter down the table, the moment nobody planned.

Beyond covering the ceremony and reception, I also do a portrait session with you both in a natural setting agreed on beforehand — a place that means something to you, or simply offers good light and a bit of calm. It's time just for the two of you, away from the rush of the wedding day.

Before the ceremony itself, I always sit down with the couple — and often with the celebrant and the wedding planner too. It's a short conversation, but it tells me what I need to know: how the day will unfold, and where I need to be so I don't miss what matters most to you.

I'm with you the whole day — through the preparations, the ceremony, and the first hours of the reception — quietly, without fuss, so you can simply live your day instead of posing for it.
